| Miss USA 2000 is now over and what a show it was!!!! I loved it from the beginning to the end! It started with Kimberly Pressler with her winning moments and then we saw the delegates getting ready for the big night! The parade of states was different and very cool! :) It was the first time they did the opening number in the backstage area! I think the worst part was that they didn't showed the delegates enough...4 seconds and then the next one! I liked the dance routine, you could only see the girls in front. The ones in the back didn't even get some camera time! They showed Alabama through Wyoming and then the dance. I think they should have done it as usual, between groups of delegates. It was nice they showed Kimberly! She looked great, better than in Miss Universe! She was fabulous in MU but now she looks more like a model! Another thing was missing, the delegates picture in the bachground! The Host was Carson Daly from "Total Request Live" MTV! The co-host were Ali Landry, Miss USA 1996 and Julie Moran from Entertainment Tonight! The show had some sound problems like when Carson came on stage before the announcement of the top 10! And when Julie Moran talked with the 5 remaining delegates after the top 5! The music was VERY good! The top 10 was announce and it was a good one! What happened to Sallie Tousaint and Rebeka Keller!?!?!? The 2 favorites was out of the top 10! I really think they should have been there because they both have experience with pageant! Sallie was in Miss World 1997 and Rebeka was in Miss America 1998! Some were a little surprising like Colorado, the first picture I saw of her didn't do justice at all, she looks so good and she sounds like a REALLY nice person! New Hampshire was another one, she looked great but I wouldn't have thought she would make top 10. Miss Alabama was my favorite from the beginning and I was so glad she made top 10! Another favorite was Miss Tennessee and she sure WOW us, she is so great and another Top 10 at Miss Universe for USA! Kansas was in Miss Teen USA 1994 and she looks even better now then in 94! Miss Georgia look like she was so glad to be there because you could see her between announcement of the top 10 and she looked worried of not making the top 10. Miss Michigan was really beautiful! New York made top 10 for 2nd year in a row and she is really beautiful, she is short like Kim but I guess the judges are not into height! I think height shouldn't be a factor! | The first competition of the evening was the press conference! The questions were not the same as last year! They asked more good questions that help us know the delegates better. I think the personal interview is much better though, because we can learn more about the delegates! Miss Georgia had a interesting week I have heard and she didn't look like that there! She was one of my favorites during the night and sounded like a really nice person. Miss Kansas was so good, just like in Miss Teen USA 1994! Miss Tennessee was clearly the winner of the press conference because she handled herself perfectly!!! She can WOW us in interview and I hope she does as well in Miss Universe! Miss Alabama told us the most confusing answer of the evening...200...what does that mean! The only way we can know is if we ask her....I hope you see this Gina and e-mail me.. :) Miss New York is self-describe computer geek! She was very good and I think height is no longer a problem in pageants but some of her comments were not very good!. Miss Iowa sang her favorite song, I love to hear them sing...especially if they are good at it!! Miss South Carolina was the 2nd best to me but her being first didn't help her at all! Colorado was good too, it would have been funny if her friend called her when she was in her interview! Miss New Hampshire could have said better answers on her questions but her being nervous and all! |

| The swimsuit competition was better then last years because the song was way better! Lou Bega was singing Mambo No.5 and the only thing that was fishy is the fact that he didn't sing the whole way! Miss South Carolina was very thin, but she looked very good! Miss Colorado dance a little for us! I don't like when they do that, they always end up in the end of the swimsuit scores for some reasons! Look at Kellie Lightbourn of last years Miss USA! Miss New Hampshire had a good body! Miss Iowa was one of the best ! Miss Kansas was going to be high up there, she had the best body of them all! I had an idea she was going to be in the top 10 because of the Miss USA site, after the presentation show she was posted with the link to see all the swimsuit photos! Miss Michigan was good, I like the way she walks! Miss Alabama was again my favorite! She looks so good in swimsuit! Miss Tennessee won the swimsuit competition and she had a toned body! After this I was almost sure she was going to be in the top 3! The Evening gown competition was one of the best I have seen! The music was so good! It was "Back at one" from Brian McKnight and Marc Wills! All the gowns were fabulous! I have one word to say..ALABAMA! She was sooooo good! She even got a 9.93! The highest score ever is Evening gown in Miss USA history! Miss South Carolina wore a beautiful red gown! This is the best red gown I have seen! Miss Colorado wore a gold tight gown! She had the perfect body for it! Miss Iowa....I didn't like her gown at all, she should have put more time in buying a gown! This is Miss USA! Miss New Hampshire went for very simple and elegant! She wore a red gown also! Miss Kansas was again fabulous n gown! In Miss Teen USA 1994 she was no1 in gown and now she almost did it again! Michigan wore a light blue gown, it was very beautiful and she look very happy to be modelling this gown! Miss Tennessee didn't went for simple! But it was very good for her, she was in top 3 for sure after this! Georgia's Patti Dunn was very good, it was very simple and elegant! Miss New York wore a good gown but it wasn't good for that year! | This year they had a new portion in this competition! "Who wants to be Miss USA" with all the lightening and sound effect of "Who wants to be a Millionaire". It was very cool! I think though the personal Interview is much better because with Who wants to be Miss USA, you don't learn about the girls! First off was Miss Alabama! She was a little nurvous, she told an answer and then she switch again, Carson was joking with her and ask her if she was going to change her answer again! Miss Tennessee was so good here and she was in the top 3 for sure! She was asked what is a special word use is law and what is a name of a tennis player! Miss New Hampshire was good but I didn't thought she was going to be in the top 3! Miss Georgia wanted so badly to get the answers right that she forgot to have fun and show the judges what she is capable of! | The final question was about Monica Lewinsky and the way she became famous and now she is in the Jenny Craig's commercial! Tennessee was first and she felt pretty good about the question and she answered perfectly! Miss New Hampshire was not too comfortable with the question and she only said it was a negative thing! Poor Miss Alabama, I wanted her to win and she didn't do well at all! I am sure she is an intelligent and bright woman but something was wrong here! After another commercial break they announce the new Miss USA! She will compete in Miss Universe 2000 from Cyprus!! The winner was Lynette Cole- Miss Tennessee!!!! GOOD LUCK LYNETTE |
