| Before starting the competition, I have to say how I am impressed by the girls this year! After seeing them in their swimsuits, almost 3/4 of them have excellent bodies! This will be a very tough year because a lot of girls deserves the crown. Some girls are favorites in Puerto Rico like Nigeria, she will probably be in my top 10. She must be very good, some people say she could be the girl to beat. You must have heard about the scandal of Miss France. I think it's very sad that this rumor started just before the pageant I think this negative press ruined her chance of winning the crown. |

| Scoring System I will judge each girls is different categories. The top 10 in each of them will recieve some points. On May 10th, all the scores will be tabulated and the top 10 combined scores will determine my predictions for Miss Universe 2001 |
