Our family has had the privilege of homeschooling since 1989. It was what God called us to do at the time and He has sustained us in that calling and enabled us to continue. We are grateful for the opportunity to not only educate but to disciple our children. We've tried almost every (it seems!) curriculum and method known. We are still trying new things all the time. We've learned a lot (especially Mom) over the years. I'm convinced God chose this path for our family to grow me up as well as our children.

I would encourage each of you that is interested in educating your children to pray diligently for God's leadership. This is not something to be entered into lightly. There are many sources for curriculum. I would encourage you to get together with other homeschoolers if you are able and let them show you their curriculum. Ask questions and let your kids look too! Get involved in a support group or start one yourself. I am so grateful to the Lord for those families that God put us with in the beginning to start a group. We remain close friends in the Lord even though distance separates many of us. Reach out to others and learn with them.
