O Lord as I lay in this deep trench 

I'm sick and tired my energy spent

I think of home my heart is aching

From dusk till dawn the bombs are breaking

I pray of you please keep us safe

Send an angel full of grace

I pray for my comrades and enemy to

Our Father hear our prayers
