This morning Sherry woke up, and she was happy. Today is her birthday and she will be five years old. Sherry loves birthdays, and is looking forward to all her friends coming over for the party. Her best friends are Mary, Jim, Tina, and Josh. Her cats, Mittens and Trouble, will also be there. Sherry's friends love to play with her cats. Sherry hopes she will get a new blue shirt as that is her favourite colour. Her mom and dad and younger brother Dan will be there too! They will all play her favourite game of hide-and-go-seek in the backyard, then they will open presents and have cake! Her mom told her that she might get a new favourite toy today, but Sherry doesn't think anything can replace her rag doll. She can't wait to eat her breakfast and clean up her room so that she can get ready for her birthday party. Later on Grandma will call and Sherry was looking forward to talking to her too! Grandma sent a card and a present in the mail, which Sherry will open up with the other gifts.
