| �So what brings you to the �summer home�?� Ezra asked �I�ve been having some personal problems in the city, so my guardians invited me to stay here for as long as I need. They�ll be joining me at the end of the week.� �How very generous of them.� Drawled Ezra. �That�s what they want to make it seem, for the news people. They wouldn�t have me stay here unless they needed something from me. And I�m sure when they get here on Friday that they are going to tell me what they need.� �Sound like people after your own heart, eh Ezra?� Nathan quipped. Ezra gave Nathan a glare. �They�re manipulative, I�ve known that since I was old enough to talk. For a majority of my life I�ve spent abroad in boarding schools, and when I�ve finally came back to the states I couldn�t stand living under the same roof as they do so I moved in with a friend who feels the same as I do about them. The only time I ever have contact with them is when there is a public event, and if it suits them to bring me along, or when they need someone to baby-sit their son. I just hope that their son doesn�t inherit their deceit. I really care about that kid.� Then there came a knock at the door. |
