Useful Information
This page contains misc. info on these frogs.  What types of aquarium chemicals to use.  What type of otc meds are ok, etc.  Email me if you have questions and I will do my best to help.  I am NOT a veterenarian, so I can not diagnose an illness, but I have a way with animals and I could help someone get in the right direction for help.

(Most tropical fish medications are available at your local pet stores.  Most tropical fish medications are safe for aquatic frogs.)
Aquarium Sizes
Long sized aquariums are best for these frogs.  They like to have more width and length than height.  Gallon size depends on how many frogs live in the tank.  2-3 frogs would need AT LEAST a 20 gallon long tank at minimum.  Bigger is better.  Just remember 7-10 gallons of water per frog.
What to do if your frog is sick.
If you think your frog is ill internally, you should contact a herp vet.  If you do not have one in your area or choose not to contact one here are some things you could try to do to help your frog:

~Remove the frog from the original tank, whether it lives alone or not.  Place frog in a hospital tank with completely clean water, detoxified of course.  Add aqaurium salt.  After a day or so if there is no improvement you may want to try a relatively safe medicine like Maroxy, which treats a wide variety of ailments. After 5 days there should be improvement, but no guarentee.
~Change 100% of the hospital tank water every other day.  The cleaner the water the better chance your frog has to make a complete recovery.

~For wounds and lesions you could keep the tank water extra clean but a hospital tank IS recommended.  Add aquarium salt to the tank water and also make "baths" of higher concentrations of salt and "bathe" your frog in the really salty water 2 x's a day for about 5-10 minutes, I have heard of good results when doing this for cuts.

Where to Shop for Supplies
Most petstores carry the product you need to keep healthy frogs.  KoiZyme however is only available through the internet.  As far as everything else you need try Petco, PetSmart or your local pet and aquatics store.
