What an exciting life!
By Andy
What an exciting life someone must be living somewhere!  My life?  Its a good life, but exciting probably isnt the right adjective.  19 years into my job as circuit judge, I still get satisfaction from the work and enjoy the camaraderie of the other judges. We have finally gotten a 4th judge for our county by the way  (it has only been 48 years since we got our 3rd one so I would say we were a little overdue!).
I am still enjoying good health and a loving relationship with my wife, who is delightful in her own inimitable  way.   The kids and grandkids are  too far away,  and that limits our opportunity to see them, but we do have a webcam and we try to keep in touch.  Our visits with them are fun, whether they are here or we are there, and we try to do both during the course of each year.  My five weeks of vacation a year that seemed like so much when the kids were all in the Midwest, however,  now seems like way too little  when they and the rest of my family are scattered over so many time zones.at least we all live in blue states now!
I finally bought a fishing kayak this past spring and did get out to use it about 10 times this summer.  A lot of bluegills and bass, but mainly just some really fine relaxation and beautiful mornings and sunsets on the water.  I am already looking forward to next spring and to opening day of fishing season.
I still have a gazillion bird feeders up in my yard...I assume that all of the birds in south central Wisconsin would starve if I stopped feeding them, but I may be wrong about that...I enjoy it anyway.
We still live near the Horicon Marsh.we still take  long marsh walks and follow them up with the proper  dosage of blueberry pancakes and real Wisconsin maple syrup..a great health regimen I would prescribe to anyone!  I still ride my bike to work at least once a week during the bike season (about a 14 mile roundtrip).
Finally,  we are very pleased with the election results. I am hopeful that the new administration will lead us to a new found pride in our country and what it means to be an American.  We face very difficult times ahead, but its reassuring to think that we are all in this together and that we have such an intelligent,  caring, and visionary president to lead us.
Not a very exciting life, but looking back on what I have written, a life that I really enjoy living!
We celebrated many birthdays and family occasions.
Above: Andy celebrates Charlotte's 80th.
Left: my sister Michelle was here for her 54th.
