Year in review from a dads point of view.
By Andy
We had a wonderful wedding celebration down in Illinois for Joe and Ceci last spring. The weather cooperated beautifully and things went as planned. I think that it was a memorable event for everyone there. Joe and Ceci followed that up with a 3 week trip to China where Joe got to meet most of Cecis relatives. We are very happy to have Ceci as part of our family.
One of the attendees at Joes wedding was only 2 months old, namely our grandson Phillip. He is Peter and Laras first child and he has become the darling of our hearts. They only live an hour away, so we can get our fix of baby love whenever we need it. Peter seems happy with his anesthesia residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Henry has been working very hard this year. He has discovered both that you cant just slide through your senior year as a physics major, and also that if he buckles down, he can accomplish amazing things. He is doing better in school than ever before and we are anxious to see what he might do with this education.
I continue to be quite involved with Habitat for Humanity, but since March am no longer its local president.  I am still leading the effort to establish a Restorative Justice Program here in Dodge County. I head up the Development Committee and just the other day spoke in favor of our grant application to the Juvenile Justice Commission down in Milwaukee. It will be a great advance for all of our citizens if we can establish restorative justice programming here, as well as throughout the state and nation.
Debbie and I will be going down to Costa Rica this next spring for an intensive Spanish language camp. We will be living with one of the local families. We each have our own reasons for doing this, including that I would like to be able to communicate better with an ever growing Hispanic population in my courtroom.
I am looking forward to a 40 year reunion next July for St. Patricks Grade School class of 1963 (our first reunion). For those of you who might know them, Ill see people like Gay Mortell, Cathy Nourie, Mike Doyle and Tom Palzer. They are also contacting friends of the class, such as Gary Dupuis, the Mackin twins, and Andy Thomas. It should be a kick, although Debbie pointed out that we may be shocked to find that we all are around 15 years older now than our parents were in 1963!!!
Debbie has kept occupied with all of the things that she usually does, plus one more. We are looking at a possible move out our present home of almost 25 years.  Debbie is busy working on house plans that we might use to build. Dont be surprised if we write to you from a new address a year from now.
We hope that the Holidays find each of you in good health and spirit!
