Have you ever tried to find the perfect recipe for pizza sauce?
Have any luck?
My guess is NO. It was either too sweet, not sweet enough, too much of this, too little of that, etc, you get the point. It is very difficult to make a sauce that one person loves, much less find one that everybody likes.
Anyone can go out and buy a jar of sauce, but why bother with the work of making pizza in the first place, if it can't taste better than what you get at a restaraunt or through delivery?

The Mama V story
My fiance and I have known Mama & Papa V for quite some time. We live close by to their river town home in Minnesota, and try to visit for dinner whenever we possibly can (It is well worth the trip!). They cook everything together, and make some of the most delectable dishes I've ever tasted. One recipe that I'm particularly fond of, though, is their pizza recipe. While they might make hawaiin, italian, mexican, or even simple cheese pizza, there is always one constant: THE SAUCE!! This pizza sauce really can't be described with words, you really have to taste it to understand how good it is! You'll keep people coming back for more once you make a pizza Mama V style, no matter what ingredients you put on top.
The recipe actually came from Papa V's Grandmother, who brought it with her from overseas in the 1800's. Other than that, they're not sure where it originated, only that there is nothing like it anywhere else.
Not long ago, we we're discussing our dreams of what we'd like to do with our retirement (Mama & Papa already retired some time ago), and Mamas' wish was to be able to travel to Europe. Low on funds, they don't think they'll ever make it. Thats when I recomended selling some of their recipes for a small profit. Reluctant at first, I gradually was able to convince them to sell at least the pizza sauce recipe. She says that if the pizza recipe does well, she might consider offering a few more recipes.
Please note that any profits from the sale of this recipe will go directly to Mama and Papa V. I will not share in any of these profits, as I have set this page up only as a favor to them. |
