is hereby inducted into the

Minnesota Assembly of Mediocre Athletes Hall of Fame

on this 29th day of February, 2004

The backup quarterback is always the most popular player on an NFL team, and "Whiskey Wade" was no exception. Unlike most backups, Wade actually got his chance to start and put up some decent numbers with the resurgent Vikings of the late 1980's. Highlighted by a narrow loss in the 1987 NFC championship game, Wade continued the Viking's tradition of building and dashing fan's hopes, earning him a spot in MAMA's Hall of Fame.

Biography

Highlights:
Wade was selected to the Pro-Bowl in 1988!
In 1988 Wade led the NFC with a 91.5 quarterback rating and his 61.4% compeletion rate led the NFL that season.

Lowlights:
Threw the 4th down pass dropped by Darrin Nelson at the goal line that would have sent the Vikes' 1997 NFC Championship game vs Washinton into OT.

Mediumlights:
Wade was drafted in the 8th round of the 1981 draft.
Wade played in the NFL for 19 years, which is surpassed by only seven other players in the history of the League!
Threw 7 TDs and 6 INTs in a 3-3 Post Season Record for the Vikings.

Personal:
In Feb 2004, wilson was named Bears QB Coach after filling that same position for the Cowboys for the previous 3 seasons (00-02).
Wilson majored in business managment at ETSU, and he has his real estate license and his SEC-series seven registration.
Wade has four children; Travis Wade, Hayden, and twins Coleton and Sophie.
