In recognition of his mediocre contribution to Minnesota sports

SID HARTMAN

is hereby inducted into the

Minnesota Assembly of Mediocre Athletes Hall of Fame

on this 29th day of February, 2004

While he's no "close, personal friend" of MAMA, there's no denying Sid's impact on Minnesota sports throughout the better part of the 20th Century. Before the internet, ESPN, and talk radio, Sid was the exclusive source for "insider" sports information for Minnesota sports fans for several decades. Although rarely relevant anymore, Sid remains a fixture for Minnesota fans and his column is still read out of force of habit, if nothing else. As a full-time public apologist for the shortcomings of all of our favorite teams, Sid has earned his honorary enshrinement in the MAMA Hall of Fame!
