In recognition of his mediocre contribution to Minnesota sports
DOUG WESTis hereby inducted into theMinnesota Assembly of Mediocre Athletes Hall of Fameon this 29th day of February, 2000Consistently the most dependable player on an inept team, Doug suffered through 8 long years with the Wolves before finally making the playoffs in 1997. The T-Wolves original second round pick, for 9 years Doug West aspired to achieve mediocrity for the leagues worst franchise. Then, just as it appeared the team was starting to round the corner, Doug was traded to the lowly Vancouver Grizzlies in exchage for Anthony Peeler (another mediocre player in his own right!)

Doug scored 39 points versus the Warriors on 12/19/92. In '92-93, Doug was eighth in the league in minutes played and his .517 field goal percentage placed third among all NBA guards.
