SCOTT LEDOUXis hereby inducted into theMinnesota Assembly of Mediocre Athletes Hall of Fameon this 29th day of February, 2000
Probably the most famous boxer in Minnesota's history, Scott's "block his punches with my face" strategy earned him three heavyweight title fights. Although he never quite cracked the elite upper-ranks of the heavyweight division, "The Fighting Frenchman" earned a reputation as a man who would never back down during the "Golden Era" of heavyweights, including fights against George Foreman, Leon Spinks, Larry Holmes, Greg Paige, Mike Weaver, Ken Norton, Frank Bruno, and Gerrie Coetzee. He's also sparred with Muhammad Ali, Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson. |
