In recognition of his mediocre contribution to Minnesota sports

RANDY BUSH

is hereby inducted into the

Minnesota Assembly of Mediocre Athletes Hall of Fame

on this 29th day of February, 2000

Over 12 years with the Twins, Randy was an average hitter with decent power and below average speed. Randy's career stats include a .250 average, 8 HRs and 34 RBIs a year, and less than 3 steals a year. However, the stats don't show the clutch hitting lefty had 7 consecutive 9th inning pinch hits to help the Twins to their 1991 Championship. The hard working Bush was the prototypical Tom Kelly role player, occationally filling in in right or first, getting a share of at bats at DH, and specializing in coming off the bench in late innings to get a critical sac fly or occational HR. When asked the question, which left handed hitting Twin spent his entire career with the Twins, helping the team to 2 World Championships, the OTHER correct answer is Randy Bush!
