In recognition of his mediocre contribution to Minnesota sports

BOB MARTIN

is hereby inducted into the

Minnesota Assembly of Mediocre Athletes Hall of Fame

on this 29th day of February, 1996

Bob came in to the University of Minnesota with flashes of promise in his freshman season, leading Gopher fans to look at him as the next in a line of Great Minnesota big-men. Instead, Bob's career at the "U" became remembered mostly for clumsy fouls which caused him to foul out of most games. By the time his senior season came around, Bob had fans recalling the "good old days" with Jim Shikenjanski at center. Martin's four year career of constant flirting with greatness but dancing with mediocrity made him a natural to be the first amateur inducted into the MAMA Hall of Fame.
