In recognition of his mediocre contribution to Minnesota sports

TIM LAUDNER

is hereby inducted into the

Minnesota Assembly of Mediocre Athletes Hall of Fame

on this 29th day of February, 1992

Renowned for his mediocre defense, lumbering strides, and a perpetually sub-.200 batting average, Tim Laudner nevertheless stuck it out for nine years with the Minnesota Twins, compiling 5 triples and 3 stolen bases. Tim frustrated Twins' fans for years with his frequent strikeouts and his inability to throw out opposing basestealers on a consistent basis, but still managed to serve as a key component in the team's rise to success during the 1980's. Despite putting up impressive minor league power numbers, Tim never really lived up to his offensive expectations except for a brief lapse into offensive productivity in the 1987 postseason and in the first half of 1988, when he was appointed as an All-Star and inspired this web site.
