| 2 cups pretzels, crushed (not too fine) 3/4 cup melted butter or margerine 1 cup plus 3 Tbls of sugar 1 8oz cream cheese 1 10oz cool whip 1 6oz pkg strawberry jello 2 10oz pkg of frozen strawberries or 3 cups of fresh strawberries. Mix pretzels, butter and 3 Tbls of butter. Pour into 9 x 13 pan and bake for 8 minutes at 400 degrees. Let cool. Beat cream cheese with cup sugar. Stir in cool whip. Spread over cooled crust. Dissolve jello in 1 1/2 cups boiling water. Stir in frozen strawberries (or fresh). Cool until partially set. Spoon over cream cheese mixture and refrigerate. Best to set over night. Can substitute other fruit and jello. Serves 16-20 |
