| Game 1 The Cotton Candy team lost their first game of the year 2-0 to Mr. Crowley's team. "They were all excellent," said Coach John G. "Lauren was great. So was Sophie. Noelle and Caroline were awesome. Alexis, Paige and Caitlin made so many great plays, I can't begin to count them. And Natalie was fantastic." The girls play again on Sunday. "The girls look so pretty in their pink uniforms," said Coach John G. (Who also looks good in HIS pink uniform!) |

| Game 2 The Cotton Candy girls soccer team had another excellent game this Sunday. "It was Paige's birthday today, and so we played really hard so we could help her celebrate", said Coach John G. "And Paige looked really adorable", said Coach Caroline. Alexis was great and so was Natalie and Lauren and Sophie. Caitlin and Noelle did an awesome job, too. Caroline had her best game of the season so far...she has a very strong kick and really gives it her all when she plays. Coach Nina helped distribute grapes to the girls at half time and they ate them all up. "That just goes to show you how hard they played, there wasn't one grape left!!" Practice Wednesday at 6:00, next game Sunday. |
| Game 3 Once again, the girls of the Cotton Candy team were incredible. Captain Natalie scored the team's first goal after the other goalie robbed her. Persistence paid off... good job, Nat. Sophie scored the team's other two goals by taking the ball and kicking it hard into the net. Noelle and Caroline and Lauren were all excellent in the field. Alexis and Paige were the goalies for the game and they played brilliantly. Caitlin hurt her ankle during a party the day before and was not able to play. The team plans a get-well card and gift for Caitlin when we meet Wednesday for practice. We hope she'll be back soon. The grapes were a big hit again... coach Nina helped hand out the grapes and they were gobbled up pretty quickly! |

| Game 4 The girls of Cotton Candy were excellent again Sunday. With Alexis as the first half goalie, the girls played hard, fair and skillfully. Caroline and Noelle were awesome. Lauren and Sophie and Paige were fantastic. Natalie was her usual lightning-fast self, running up and down the field and Sophie was the scoring machine. She scored 3 times as Cotton Candy won 3-0. Paige was the brilliant second-half goalie. "The girls were great once again, and we had a surprise, too. Caitlin McD came to the game in her uniform, even though she has a broken leg. That was awesome!!,", said Coach John. Natalie's mom brought the grapes and they were once again, a huge hit. The girls get a half-season break and have a game on October 16. Picture day is the day before, October 15 at 12:15. |

| Game 5 The girls of Cotton Candy won by a score of 2-1 Sunday. Natalie was amazing as she scored both goals. Sophie was awesome in goal for the first half and Alexis was great as the second half goalie. Noelle and Caroline and Lauren were superb, showing improvement every game. Paige was a major force for Cotton Candy as she took the ball from end to end several times. Cailtlin's ankle is still in a cast, so she was there rooting for her team. The grapes were gobbled up again! Nina was not at this game and the team missed her. Noelle's birthday is the Wednesday, so she was team Captain. Next week's games are cancelled. What a team!!!. |
