The Malverne 7 & 8 Year old boys won game #9 by a score of 5-1 over Manhasset. The Manhasset team arrived a bit short-handed so Malverne lent 5 excellent ballplayers to Manhasset to even the sides. Francis, Daniel, William C, Joe R and Chris S pitched wonderfully for Malverne.
Billy M and Frank S were the hitting stars of the game for Malverne, along wth Chris S who doubled to right. "This was fun...we had some of our team playing for the other side tonight... and we had fun joking with them," said Manager John G.
"I knew we were going win as soon as saw the pretty face of Natalie M. She's our good-luck charm".
Wednesday is the finale for Malverne as they play Mineola. After the game, it's over to Connolly Station for a celebration. All are welcome. |
