Tim, as some would say, was "Born in a Trunk", as he was first brought onto the stage by his father as a 5 year old in a pantomime called "Ali Babar and his Forty Thieves" with Williamstown Light Opera Company, 2 more panto's at Willy, and from then on it has been impossible to get him off the stage. . With over 50 production's now under his belt, Tim has been part of a wide range of musicals including, "Oklahoma!", "Smiley - The Musical", "Evita", "Les Miserables", "Me and My Girl" and "Pirates of Penzance" . In 1995 Tim moved from Victoria, to Queensland with his family, where he performed with amatuer groups in Rockhampton, before moving to Mackay to study at The Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music. While at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music, Tim performed the roles of Jack in "Into The Woods", Mr Peachum in "The Threepenny Opera", Mr Cellophane in "And The World Goes Round", and The Constable and Lazar Wolf in "Fiddler on the Roof". He has also involved in such concert/productions as "Conversations at the Midnight Bar"," Music Theatre Mackay", "On Broadway", "Cabaret La'Mour", "Rogers and ...."," Cabaret 1998", "Con Singers in Concert"," Ansett Gala Rockhampton"," Ansett Gala Mackay", "10th Birthday Concert", and performed Handel's Messiah with The Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and The Queensland Symphony Youth Orchestra. 1999 saw Tim's involvement in the Queensland Biennial Festival of Music working with renowned Australian composer Vincent Plush, (lighting and sound design and operation) and Lyndon Terracini (performing). Tim has studied under and participated in workshops with some Australia's foremost people in the theatre industry including Rachel Griffiths, Nancye Hayes, Judi Connelli, Max Lambert, Brendan Ross, Anthony Weigh, Vincent Plush, Lyndon Terracini, Kris Stewart, Adam Kronenberg, John Colwill, Garrick Jones, Travis McMahon, Raymond Connell, Wendy Strehlow, Steve Matthews, Nicholas Flannagan, Daniel Keene, Mark Wager, John Preston, John Butler, George Kulikovskis, and Geoff Wallace. He also attended a weeklong National Institute of Dramatic Arts Actors/Auditions Masterclass in 1996. In 2000, Tim moved back to Victoria, to study at Swinburne University where he recieved his Diploma of Arts - Small Companies and Community Theatre degree. While here Tim performed a miriad of roles, both technical and onstage. He was Production Manager/ Lighting Designer for the season of "Shaken Not Stirred", and Technical Manager/Lighting Designer for "The Confetti Chronicles", as well as performing in both. He played Harry in "Away" and also did the Lighting Design. Then to finish off, he was Fringe Liason and Lighting Designer/Operator for Swinburnes Melbourne Fringe Festival Production "Crooked". In 2001 Tim began working with Werribee Theatre Company in their production of "Jesus Christ Superstar" as Peter, and since has played Mr Tunnicliffe in "Flying Feathers", Fairy Foozle (Fairy Godmother) in Cinderella. (Click here to see photo), Ricko in "Blackrock", and The Lion is "The Wiz". In 2004 he Directed "Away" for them, and is currently Vice-President of the company. In 2003 Tim directed Wacky Theatre Companies first production, the theatre restaurant "The Outback Debuante Ball". He also worked with Essendon Theatre Company playing Gordon in "The Farndale Avenue Ladies Guild Presents A Christmas Carol". Tim is currently employed by Werribee 10 Village / Andersons Cinemas, as a Front Of House Supervisor / Projectionist... At Christmas 2001, he played Santa at Altona Gate and Broadmeadows Shopping Centres, for 5 week, and he repeated this again in 2002 at Werribee Plaza Shopping Centre. Having previously worked as a Breakfast Radio Announcer for Central Queensland Community Station Emu-Fm, an actor at Giggles Theatre Restaurant in Rockhampton, Theatre Technician at Mackay Entertainment Centre, Rockhamptons "Pilbeam Theatre", Wyndham Cultural Centre, and events crew for Melbourne's Moomba and Millenium festivals, and Williamstown Summer, and Lygon Street Festival's, and crewing with The National Theatre Ballet School, and Werribee Secondary College... |
