The Game

What is life but a game
That we're all forced to play
Life deals you a card
And sometimes it's easy
But mostly it's hard
To overcome the task
That's appointed to you
Sometimes life depends
On how well you play
On the way you do things
On how you say what you say
But other times it's pure luck
A game of chance
And your life is out of your hands
Sometimes you're the player
And everything goes your way
Everyone does whatever you say
Other times you find
That you are being played
Swayed by the rest
Given a test
If you pass you'll be given the key
To open the Golden Gate
Your prize will be heaven
And you'll forever have good fate
But if you fail
You'll be sent to a deep pit called hell
Where no-one will ever wish you well
A place full of evil, hatred and strife
You'll be lost forever to the game of life.
