About the Author

         Born in July 1944 at Rabat, Malta where I have lived most of my life. Obtained a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Malta. Studied Education at the University of London, Institute of Education and followed a Career in Education with the Education Division of the Government of Malta. Lectured in Physics at an A-Level College and the local University. Spent a short time as an Assistant Head of a Boy's Secondary School. Since the middle of the 1980's involved in Educational Management within the Curriculum Department of the Ministry of Education with the responsibility for the teaching of Physics in the Maltese Islands.         

An initial interest in the local geology developed into an interest in the land shells of the Maltese Islands in 1985.
