"Wow, I enjoyed that," Cassandra said, turning to look at Sam and her mother. The three of them were enjoying some downtime after SG-1's return from a weeklong scouting mission, and had settled in with pizza and a movie at Sam�s house. So that they would have more time together Janet and Cassandra were also staying the night.

� I especially liked the�.� She blushed as Sam and her mother started to laugh.

� What! I do KNOW about those things you know�. erm about what two people do when they love each other,� she finished quickly as her mother gave her a look.

�What about the science, Sam?� Cassandra changed the subject quickly.

� Well, it was well thought out. But it's science fiction. The blackhole we encountered WAS very real. And scary.�

�Yes. I remember. We were very lucky,� Janet said. � That girl was very good at explaining things, Sam. She reminded me of you.�

�Yes, Janet. I�ve heard somewhere that the actress does her own research. She�s very good. Lucky girl having Adrian Paul playing her boyfriend though! I�ve always liked him,� Sam winked mischievously at Janet.

�Brave going half naked on a film.�

�Ah� Janet did you see on the credits? She had a body double. She must have a no nudity clause in her contract. No full frontal. Her bare back would have been ok though.�

� I think the boys would enjoy it,� Janet pondered.

�Janet! Colonel O�Neill would never understand the science. And as for the other bits-� Now it was Sam�s turn to blush

� Sam�he�s a grown man. And a father.� Janet laughed.

�Well, they have gone to a hockey game tonight.� Sam continued once she had regained her composure. � They will have missed it.�

� Yes, well they missed a good film,� Janet said standing up. �I don�t know about you two but I�m shattered. I�m off to bed. Night Sam, night Cassie. Don�t stay up to long. You have school in the morning.�

�I won�t be long, mom, I promise,� Cassandra stood up and gave her adopted mother a big hug. � I�ll just stay up a while and talk to Sam.�

A few days later Janet and Sam were sitting in the SGC commissary. SG1 were back on duty, although they did not have a mission scheduled for a couple of days.

Sam and Janet were just talking about nothing in particular when they suddenly heard Daniel�s voice. �There�s Sam. Jack just ask her. If she can�t explain it to you, no one can.�

�Good idea, Daniel.�

Jack, Teal�c and Daniel came over to the two ladies with their trays and sat down.

�Hi guys,� Sam greeted them.

�Carter, doc,� Jack said, � Carter, can you help with something?�

� Yes, sir. What is it?�

� Well, we watched a movie Saturday night. The hockey game got cancelled, so we went to Daniel�s instead.�

Sam�s heart sank. �What was the movie, sir?�

�The�. Daniel, what was the name of the movie?�

� The Void, I think it was, Jack.�

� Yes that�s it, thanks, Daniel. Well, anyway, it a very good film. It had a blackhole in it.�

� Yes, sir. We saw it.� Janet answered trying not to laugh at the face Sam pulled at her.

� You did! Well that�s good. You will know the bits I mean then, Carter. You know that part after that scientist was found dead and before the two characters�well you know��

� Performed sexual reproduction, O�Neill,� Teal�c supplied with the usual innocent look on his face.

� TEAL�C! Did you have to say it out loud like that!?!� The colonel was actually blushing.

�Yes, well, just before that they were in the bathroom�now what I was wondering�. aside from the obvious of course-�

� What�s that, Jack?� Daniel asked knowing what Jack wanted to know but enjoying the situation immensely.

� Why he did not strip off and jump in the bath with her, Daniel. I know I would have. Good looking girl like that�

�Get in the bath with her, O�Neill?�

�What? Don�t tell me you�ve never done that, Teal�c? You should try it sometime.� �Sir?� Sam wanted to stop this train of thought as quickly as possible.

�Yes, Carter?�

�Your question, sir?�

� Oh�yes of course. The girl EVA I think her name was�. smart girl. Reminded me of you. She was talking about snowflakes. How they are all different and how she cried when one melted. Well, I was curious about snowflakes. Why are no two flakes ever the same?�
