| Malolo,
Hawaiian for Flying Fish, is a 65 ft steel sailboat custom built in New
Zealand. I've spent several years outfitting the boat for ocean voyaging.
The sail inventory includes mainsail, staysail, genniker, spinniker, trysail
and , working jib, yankee, roller furling genoa. The engine is a 120 HP
Ford Diesel, and the boat carries 350 gal of H2O, 350 gal of diesel. Malolo
also has AC capability and has 2-120W solar panels to keep up with energy
demands. The boat is built to withstand the most severe conditions and cross any ocean with speed and comfort, and has been and continues to be constantly updated and maintained. |

Accommodations include four state rooms, navigation station, two heads w/showers, a complete galley w/pressurized water system and a generous saloon area. | |
Safety Features Include: Water tight bulk head, fore and aft, double hull, life raft, emergency position beacon radio, automatic fire extinguisher, radar, VHF, SSB and ham radios. Toys Include: Windsurfers, kayaks, scuba and snorkeling gear, surfboard, full entertainment system and inflatable yacht tender. |
