On October 27, 2000, my humble abode was transformed into a haunted house of mirth and lots of people. We had lots of food, many unrecognizable hooligans, and, best of all, The Great Seer, Billulah, reading tarot cards (in five hours, he read thirty people!) By all accounts, the party was a huge success (maybe it will happen again next year...who knows?) Below are some selected pictures of those who won our highly professional costume contest. Belated congratulations to Brent Carey, Doug Fair, Mike Saltis and Esther Phillips, and Paul Richardson and Alicia Spencer. Thanks everyone for helping make it such a fun night!
Brent Carey as The Ladies' Man. In character all night, we awarded him "Best in Show."

Similarly, we awarded Doug "Stupid Cupid" Fair (right, with Janelle) with "Worst in Show," mainly because he just showed too much damn skin, but also because we knew he'd enjoy the grand prize of Jalapeno Pork Rinds.

Esther Phillips and Mike Saltis came dressed as that first couple of Glens Falls High School, Nancy and Tom Geyer. Right down to Esther's overwhelming wristwear and Mike's woven belt, they were spitting images. They won "Best Duo."
This picture does not do the costumes justice but Alicia Spencer and Paul Richardson won "Most Creative" with their own reditions of Fanta bottles. For those of you uniformed, Fanta is a heavenly European citrus soda that we all grew addicted to while in Spain. Their costumes were SO good that other members of the party tried to kill Paul in a jealous rage, as witnessed in this photo. (Does anyone else notice the parallels between this picture and the famous picture of Lee Harvey's Oswald's shooting? Creepy.)
