William Suttle, son of Isaac Suttle of Richmond Co. VA., and Charity Browne was born 4 January, 1731 in King George Co. Virginia. William died 23 January, 1839 in DeKalb Co. GA. He is buried in Utoy Church Cemetery in Atlanta, GA.

Much has been published about William as he lived to be over the 100 year mark at 108 according to the Historical Records housed in Atlanta, GA.

William was a soldier of at least two wars. French American War and the Revolutionary War. He was a gunsmith by trade.

William Suttles, served in the Revolution as a private in the Georgia troops.

American Biographical Library, states SUTTLES, WILLIAM, a revolutionary soldier; d. in 1839. a. 108, in De Kalb co., Ga.; it was estimated that his descendants at his death numbered 300; his wife Margaret, d. June, 1839, a. 104; she had been seventy years a member of the Baptist church.

From the two ref. it list two different death dates for William, I do not have dates from his marker, but he does have a Rev. Soldier marker.

William Suttle married about 1765 in Fauquier Co., to Margaret Harbin, born about 1744. She lived to be over 100 years as did her spouse. She died 1739 in GA.

Jesse Suttle son of William Suttle and Margaret Harbin was born 1783 either in VA., or NC.

Jesse married Sarah Willis in Elbert Co. GA., before his move westward into Alabama. Jesse is found on the 1830 Census in Bibb Co.

William Suttle son of Jesse Suttle and Sarah Willis was born about 1800 in Richmond Co. GA., and died 19 November, 1878 in AL.

He married 22 September, 1821 Bibb Co. AL., to Mary Allen, daughter of John Allen a Baptist Minister. Mary was born about 1803 in GA. No known death date.

12. Laura Ann Suttle, born 19 February, 1848 Coosa Co., died 13 February, 1928 Elmore Co., AL. She married 23 December, 1866 Coosa Co., to Rev T. A. Kelly, born 15 April, 1848 and died 15 November, 1915 Elmore Co. Both are buried in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
