Moses Stansbury, was born in 1800 North Carolina and died 1862 Whitley Co. Kentucky. He was the son of Nathan Stansbury of NC., and wife Julie.
Moses moved westward to Indiana in 1818-1819 with his father and brothers, excluding John H. who remained in NC.. After the death of his father Nathan, Moses lived with his brother, David. In 1825 David moved his family back to Kentucky and settled in Whitley Co. KY., and Moses went along with the move. At some time David moved to Laurel Co. KY. Moses married 11 May, 1827 in Whitley Co. to Mary Elizabeth Snyder, daughter of Peter Snyder and wife Oliva Jane Sexton.
Moses first appears on the 1830 Census in Whitley Co.
