Does anyone know the connection of Sarah Jane Allen to the other Allen's living in Bibb Co. Alabama? Your help appreciated.
Thomas J. Lyons was born 25 May, 1858 in unknown and died 22 February, 1946. He is buried in Mt. Carmel cemetery in Bibb Co. AL.
Thomas married Sarah Jane Allen, date and place unknown. Sarah was called "Salie". Thomas and Sarah lived in Colony, Talladega Co. Alabama when their son Albert Weston Lyons was born in that County. There were other children but the only known son is:
1. Albert Weston Lyons, born 1883 AL
2. William Lyons, is thought to be a son of Thomas and buried beside Albert in Carmel Cemetery. He was born 1882 and died 1931
Albert Weston Lyons was born 2 November, 1883 in Coaling, Tuscaloosa Co. AL. He married 22 November, 1914 in Centreville, Bibb Co. AL., to Bettie Jane Fain, daughter of Thomas Walter Fain and Francis Alpine (Fannie) Davis. Bettie Jane was born 12 February, 1894 in Eastaboga, Talladega Co. AL. She first married William Berry and had one daughter.
Albert and Betty had (7) children. The first four were born in Alabama, and the three youngest born in Franklin Co. IL. Albert W. moved to West Frankfort, Franklin Co. IL., around 1900. Where he died 11 January, 1951 from Tuberculosis. He is buried in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Benton, Franklin Co. Albert was a coal miner in IL. for many years.
