Willis Allen Sr., was the son of David Allen and his wife Martha Wray
Know all men by these presents that I Willis allen Sen. of Spartanburgh District do make and publish this as my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit-Item First: I give devise and bequeath to my wife Matilda Allen the home tract of land whre I now live and four negroes that is to say, David and hsi wife Milly, with two of their children Tilda and Julian; also three work horses such as may suit her five cows, calves, eight sheep and all the hogs, the black smith Tools with all the farming utensils, the house hold and kitchen furniture with provisions for one year of corn, fodder, wheat oats rye and fodder to support herself and John with their negroes as also salt, sugar, coffee and spinning cotton.
The wagan and harnefs also, all of which I have and do hereby give her during her natural life and at and after her death my will and wish is that it be equally divided among my six children that is to say between Elizabeth Linder, Rachel Duberry, Willis Allen Jr., Chamgers Allen, Sally Linder and John Allen or such of them as may be living reckoning always that the child or children of any one of them or heirs who may have died and farther more I hereby give to her my said wife in trust and as guardian for my son John Allen who is now a minor and under age my negro boy Ned valued to four Hundred and eighteen Dollars seventy five cents and my negro girl Milly, valued to Three hundred and thirty one dollars, twenty five cents, and and my boy Rice valued to three hundred and sixty eight dollars, seventy five cents as also all other property or the care and management of all the legacies coming to him under this will during the term of his minority or until he shall become twenty one years old. Second I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Linder my negro man Bill at Five hundred and eight seven dollars and fifty cents with matty and her child Jane valued to four hundred and fifty six dollars and twenty five cents and Alfred at two hundred and fifty dollars. Item third I give to Rachel Duberry my negro Charles valued at five hundred and eighty seven dollars and fifty cents my girl Myra at two hundred and eightenn dollars seventy five cents and Alfred at two hundred and fifty dollarss. Item fourth I hereby give and bequeath to my son Willis Allen my negro boy Dick at four hundred my girl Vilet at four hundred and fifty dollars as also hte girl Prifs at one hundred and sixty eight dollars seventy five cents. Item fifth: I give and devise to William Chambers Allen my boy Dave at five hundred and seventy five cents. Item sixth: I hereby give and bequeath to my daugher Sally Linders my boy Tim at three hundred and sixty eight dollars seventy five cents, Patty and child Katherine at six hundred and thirty seven dollars fity cents and Molly at one hundred and fifty six dollars twenty five cents and lastly I give to my son Lee Allen five hundred dollars to e paid in cash within six months after my decease which is all I intend him to ever have from my estate all the balance of my estate both real and personal is herby directed to be sold by the executors who shall execute good & sufficient titles as I myself could do were I personally present and the proceeds of such sales together with amount that may be collected on bonds and obligations now due & coming to myshall be taken by the executors and divided among my six children named in the first item of this will (and excluding my son Lee Allen) as will make their respective shares equal if enough but if not enough then they shall be severally allowed three years to pay the balances due without interest and finally & lastly I hereby appoint my son Willis Allen Junr my executor to carry this my last will and testament in effect.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twelfth day of May eighteen hundred and forty six.

Willis named my six children, however there was a seventh, but it appears he fell out of grace with his father. Lee was to receive five hundred dollars and nothing more. (Bad Boy?)
