John Allen Cemetery

Welcome to Melba's Southern Family of John Allen Cemetery

John Allen Cemetery
Hinds Co. MS.

The information on John Allen Cemetery was donated by K. E. Hinson The Cemetery is located on Brock Road off Mississippi Hwy. 27 between Utica and Crystal Springs in Hinds County, MS.

Some fifty years ago a Mrs. Fischer, a descendant of John Allen viewed what was the remains of this old Cemetery and recorded her find. The Cemetery has been unkept and not likely can be found today because of underbrush and grown over with weeds, etc. If anyone can prove this statement incorrect, I would appreciate you letting me know.

Karen is a descendant of John Allen and would like to know who were the parents of John Allen. If you can help please email her.

John Allen for whom the cemetery is named was the first buried in this cemetery. He died in 1832 at the age of 56 years, leaving a widow and young children.
