Match Report - Round 10
vs Leeton
Group 20
Arguably one of the gutsiest wins by the Mallee Men in the last 5 years, was a statement bandied about by supporters after the boys outgunned Leeton to win 18-16, after trailing 0-10 at half time.

Leeton were first to score to lead 4-0 early, but West Wyalong kept hammering the Leeton line, but were denied three tries in the first half either by the referee or by lost ball. At the break the Greenies looked the better side, enjoying a 10-0 lead by then.

That was as many points Leeton were going to score for quite some time. The Mallee Men came out with all guns blazing and took control of the match posting 3 unanswered tries by late in the game to look comfortable at 18-10, but Leeton were not finished, but were too late. West Wyalong defence was first class and the attacking brilliance of the back-line showed the potential this writer has been talking about all season.

Best for the home side Ryan Prevett, Dan Hartnett, Mick Hopper, Jack Jones, Chris Jamieson & Mick Loudon.
