The Combined Christian Churches of Bathurst, together in association with the Bathurst Ministers Association, will be facilitating an evangelistic Mission, "A Fresh Start", during the first week of October 2001, in Bathurst, New South Wales (NSW), Australia.
This mission will be held in conjunction with the very popular FAI 1000 V8 Motor Car Races, held at Bathurst's internationally renown Mt Panorama car racing circuit.

The concept would be to have lots of different mission/outreach-type events - in the months' beforehand and specifically during the week leading up to the weekend Car-race, with different local churches able to participate in whatever areas they feel they are best and able to do. Different churches could facilitate different aspects of mission, by facilitating and hosting different events aimed at different sections of the community at various locations around town. ie. focuses toward children, youth, families, senior citizens, schools, etc.
On the Saturday a huge �Family Funday Festival� could be held in Machattie Park or Kings Parade, which would be like a community �Carnival� event, with many and various �family� activities. This event would be the weekend �focus� of the mission.
It would be hoped to be in contact and confirm the availability of the best-possible
interdenominational speakers and specialist ministry-teams to help run the mission, by �getting
in early� and beginning planning the mission this far in advance.
In addition it would be planned to hold regular training and equipping seminars and practical hands-on workshops, as well as combined corporate prayer gatherings, for the local church-people leading upto and after the mission.
Right now, we are seeking to identify and build a core-team of people, representing each Bathurst church, so that a working group can begin the process of facilitating the mission.
