Dying Rose

The tale was wrapped in her soulful eyes

She kept them averted
In one
Glance
Her
Depths
unravelled
All it took
was a single
glance
for
her
tragic
innocence
to become
manifest

The flower lay
crumpled
Deflated
Ruinous
Beauty
Each
whithering
petal
proclaiming
unspent
memories
Each Dying
petal
weeping
broken
vows

Her veiled
face
hid
rivers
of
tears
flushed
eyes
and
streaming
kohl
she remained
mesmerized
as droplets
drenched
her
dying
rose

Is it actually
changing colors?

"he" is
never
coming
back...

she sighed

and

rose

not bothering
to pick
up
dying
strands
