This is my son's 1979 Malibu Classic. It is an on-going project. He bought it in 1999 and used it as his daily driver to school and work. It came with a 305/TH350 and duals. Try picturing it with Cragar SS's and white fuzzy dice hanging from the rear view mirror.

So far in the restoration, we've yanked the old 305/TH350 drive train. We stripped the front end down to the bare fame in order to sandblast and paint it. We've installed all new suspension parts including new OEM upper and lower control arms with poly bushings, all new ball joints, Belltech drop spindles, MOOG 5660 springs, an F-body 34 mm  front sway bar with new bushings and end links, a MCSS 12.7:1 quick ratio steering box, and a new center link and tie-rods. We also installed new rotors, bearings, calipers, pads, dust caps and dust shields, along with a complete set of new stainless steel brake lines.

The 2.41 open rear end is history and it has been replaced with a 3.73 posi from an 86 Monte Carlo SS. When I replaced the rear end I also installed new upper and lower trailing arms with poly bushings, MCSS rear springs, Gabriel air shocks, and a MCSS rear sway bar. The TH350 tranny has been completely rebuilt and the TBI 355 is almost ready to go in.
