1979 Buick Century Turbo Coupe

Believe it or not, this 3.8 Liter V6 Turbo Coupe was found abandoned, without plates, on the highway .  It has a New York state inspection sticker.

I drove past it, as it sat on the side of the interstate highway, for three days until one morning it was gone.  On my way home that night I saw it at my friend Greg's junkyard.  He is one of those guys that tows impounded and accident cars off the highway and he got the call from the state police to go get this beauty.  It now sits in his boneyard just as you see it.  I thought of buying it, but the wife says I already have too many toys and I would have to get rid of something before I brought it home. No way!  Contact me if you would like more info.

The Century Turbo Coupe is a fairly rare auto.  Not to say that it is in high demand.  It is as complete as you will ever find and it's probably driveable.  The hood ornament says 3.8 Turbo
Not too many people liked the sloping rear window and deck.  I think it's kinda cool.  The orange sticker on the rear window was put there by the state police.  Check out the T-Type rims and the rear spoiler
The slight bulge on the hood, just like the GN's indicates that it is a turbo car. The "Turbo 3.8 Liter" emblems are still intact and in good condition.
The turbo is in the upper right corner and the "Turbo Control Module" sits atop the fan shroud.  It looks like duct tape was used to seal the air inlet hose that feeds the Q-jet carburator.
The turbo boost gauge is still in the dash. Notice the lack of a horn button and an ignition key lock.  A screwdriver is all thats needed to start the car. Hmmm, does that mean it's possibly stolen?
Bucket seats and a center console were standard for this Buick. The seats could stand a recovering
