NBA DINASTYES OF THE 1990’S
Ok,ok,everybody knows it’s the Bulls and, only the b-ball
experts (like me hahah)that it’s also the Lakers.This will be just the facts and history a few years from now.
Nope,don’t hit the back button ,I’m not gonna write about this year’s Bulls,everything has been written about them.
The Bulls took their first title in 91 beating the Lakers (hahh)in a historic final.The Lakers won it in 2000 in the first season for Jackson as coach.It wasn’t the case in Chicago.It was his third year in Chicago when he won
his first title.And he had Jordan.The Bulls team of then was than the Lakers team from now,make no mistake about that.But,it had stronger oponents(which only help this Lakers form a dinasty),the Lakers of 91 had a dream team with Magic and Worthy,the Blazers of 92 a great team with Dreaxler,Cliff Robinson and Terry Porter,the 93 Suns..boy..
Barkley,Ainge,Majerle…….and don’t forget the Knicks and the greatest dunk of all time(hahah).Then they won against a Seatlle team with Kemp (under 300 punds)Payton and the already legendary battles with Utah in 97And 98 and StockAlone.And who did the Lakers beat?The Pacers with Miller and Rose?!?!?….
So how come the Bulls consistently beat those great teams?99 per cent of you would say:They had Jordan and Pippen and the rest of the teams which won the 6 titles were filled with grait role players.Nope,that’s not it falks.They won because of Tex Winter’s genious triangle offence with wich the Clips would win(if their players were old enough to understand it)and Phill Jackson’s ability to bring out the best in his players(one of the ways to do that is to yell at your players).
So,the Bulls are in the history of the NBA.Will this generation of the Lakers be there too?Yes.
There’s too many simlarities between the two teams. First they have Jackson and the before mentioned triangle offence.Second,they have boath two exepcional palyers (MJ,Pipp-Kobe,Shaq)and great role players too help,incidently,Ron Harper and Horace Grant played for both this teams.Third,they have a troublemaker and a loudmouth which only Jackon can handle.Of course I’m talking about Rodman and J.R.Rider.And finnaly they have the help of the refs(happen to watch a LAL-VAN mach?). The Lakers also have a great organisation which will not let this chance of forming a dinasty go.The first step is there,they have a great team and Jackson which should form a partnership which WILL rule the NBA in
the future.
So have I conviced you now that the Lakers will form a dinasty?I think so.
