MAC EAST GAME OF THE WEEK
Marshall Thundering Herd (8-3, 4-1)
VS
Miami of Ohio RedHawks (8-1, 5-0)
MIAMI (OH) +12.5

Tonight in Oxford, Miami (Ohio) looks to clinch the MAC East Title with a win over Marshall. Miami, ranked #23 in the AP Poll, has controlled its own MAC destiny all season, and a win tonight will secure at least a divisional co-championship and a berth in the MAC title game, to be played on December 5 at the MAC West winner. Marshall, despite one loss in conference, also controls their own destiny, and a win tonight would all but clinch the title for them, with seemingly easy games coming up against UCF and Ohio. Miami QB Ben Roethlisberger (pictured) will look to add to his 2nd in the MAC Pass Effiency rating of 148.9, while Marshall will counter under center with backup Graham Gochneaur. Gochneaur was solid in his first start against Akron, replacing injured starter Stan Hill. If he can focus on keeping the game in the hands of RB's Franklin Wallace and Earl Charles, then the passing game will be open for Gochneaur and star reciever Darius Watts. Miami has the momentum coming in, scoring 33 last week in a nationally televised romp of Bowling Green. If Roethlisberger can continue his great play and get the defensive help he did last week, Miami will be on its way to the MAC Title game.

PREDICTION: Miami 24
