Beautiful in its simplicity

Frente create charming, pretty songs that are disarmingly direct and simply. Most of the songs are quite good and basically all are stripped down acoustic pieces matched with very cute vocals. The lyrics are left bare and exposed, so if you're a lyrics perosn you should love this.

The cover of New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle" is wonderful in that it strips the song down to its love song roots without the beat to confuse the issue. "Labour of Love" is great too, and no it isn't a cover of the UB40 song of the same name - thank goodness, having 2 singles that are both covers would have been lame. "Accidentally Kelly Street " is another personal fave.

I only give it 4 stars because over time it becomes somewhat irritating kind of like the Sundays, a great band to compare Frente to.
