POETRY BY AHMED THOLAL

OF MODERN DREAMS
Corner streets and burnt rings of coffee
Lighted sillhouettes and the neon glow of life,
Slitehry gravel upon the rain kissed stone,
Watery eyes among the fog filled alleys
Caress the colours that do gleefully play
And come in stanzas as would seem
Dreamy beats to the burlesque heart.

An Ode to the Fraught
Spring flowers often bloom
In hearts that deter the offer of gloom,
Dreams of passion always loom
Over eyes that dry the tears as soon.
The morn that dwells in a serene ground,
While birds mellow in there silky sound
Lives and thrives within the spirit unbound,
Of whose souls bliss has found.
Quiescent lives often know
The forlorn seeds that emptiness sow,
Dejected curios, the vacant hearts stow.
And the final crest fall that lets life go.

At the Hyacinth
Park
Upon the often relentless hyacinth park
The floating flowers and the rippling wave
Embrace in love with mounting crave.
Its oft common for the dreamy lark,
To hum in silence as a fervent aficionado
Hovering over the lazily tumbled mistletoe.
Crispy leaves dancing abound by dark,
Opulently thrive with undulating conceit
As twilight mulls and croons in dire forfeit
