WHISPERING SHADOWS
by Sara
shadows whisper in the
night,
tormented souls lost and lonely
drumming in my mind; answers
to unasked questions, ghoulish
voices with a past,
heinous laughter echoes around,
what fate conjures I do not know,
no understanding; no comprehension,
I drift headless towards
an unknown horizon,
what sins uncommitted have
I to pay; to save your pride
must I sacrifice; those demon eyes
do engulf my soul;
what fortune's bliss must I deny?
