I
dream of you,
I
dream of you,
I
dream of you,
And
then with dawn,
I
dream of you.
and blue heavens,
flying around wingless,
through endless horizons,
sunny seas and dancing waves,
beneath cloudless skies,
and jasmine flowers,
petals full of moonlit dew,
silver nights and music showers,
anklets on two dancing feet,
jingling with each heart beat,
and I together,
floating along the milky way,
arms entwined,
with “love forever”,
written across in golden rays,
come reality,
the dreams become,
a fantasy,
until the night when I begin,
to dream again,
smiling hearts loving through,
the waiting game has begun again,
I close my eyes and count the pulses,
until I lose them in a haze,
of lost milliseconds,
will I hear from him or wont I?
the same question wave after wave,
onto my mind until I could no longer cope,
without lifting the phone yet I have,
no number to call,
satisfying desire with calories of hope,
tormenting agony and some times even shame,
of wanting something so intensely,
that every part of my body did physically ache,
and not just my longing soul,
I set myself deadline after deadline,
resort to tossing coins again and again,
to answer that elusive question,
how long am I prepared to wait?
until evening, tomorrow, maybe a few days,
or just simply as long as it takes,
until fate calls checkmate?
somewhere there is
a rainbow sky,
and silver dreams,
somewhere there are
purple petals,
floating in the breeze,
somewhere there is
a candle burning,
an eternal flame,
somewhere on a moonlit beach,
shadow dancers,
entertain,
somewhere the song,
does find its heart and,
music finds its soul,
somewhere,
love and desire,
always fulfil their,
destined roles,
somewhere dreams do come true and
laughter fills the air,
and some day
we would
be together, together in
that somewhere.
softly whispered at each sundown,
gentle prayers carried by the breeze,
kissing the sands of passing lands,
searching for those unfulfilled dreams,
some say silken flutter of butterfly wings,
send sparkling waves across the skies,
carrying dreams of those who pray by the stars,
I send him messages with the butterflies,
a wish is made, an ardent prayer said,
thousand candles lit by a single hand,
softly flickering against a moonless sky,
to heavens above an offering made,
gazing up at those celestial lights,
forlornly soaked in ever burning desires,
a feverish mind that could not rest,
until the stars answered my prayers,
"you are my light, my heaven, my eyes,
my only love, my heart and soul,
you are the answer to my every prayer,
Heavenly stars! Grant me my only hope"
delicate dark haunting eyes,
moisten in the rising mist,
drenched in gentle desires,
yet to be found and fulfilled,
searching for a love that's lost,
across those vast and hidden lands,
innocent lips curved in prayer,
hiding an inner piercing pain,
floating, silky wind caressed hair,
drenched in early morning rays,
memories of that summer sun,
a cancer creeping across her veins,
a turquoise summer laughing world,
two hearts meet on a sun kissed shore,
two names written into Cupid's list,
of perfect love eclipsed before,
a promise made in whirlwind love,
a fairy tale, a lifetime's dream,
now a broken heart thrown on the top,
of that ever growing heap.
HIS RETURN
an empty echo in the head,
tapping slowly on each side,
the memory dead, and long buried,
now again has revived
I spoke to him against my will,
His call came out of blue,
ten years, still his voice did thrill,
raising heartbeats and I knew,
I loved him as I did always,
while all these years I lived a lie,
yet its too late, for the children's sake,
his love I must deny
ancient winds sing stories of long lost lovers,
now mere ghosts wandering in the whirling mist,
sweeping softly against passers-by, unnoticed
searching desperately for those sensual hours,
blushing couples smiling at unknown pastures,
baby love fluttering tenderly its delicate wings ,
soaring slowly high as by-gone lovers did, tasting
the same feverish passion; O! What prayers
float across these sands of time; an aimless walk
the old man rambles on clutching his lover's gift,
a colourless coat; frayed and faded as his memories,
yet he clings to them passionless; watch them talk,
Fools! as if they are the only lovers that ever lived,
I once sang the same songs in the drifting breeze.
with piercing dark eyes he tore me through,
cutting his foreign name in my helpless heart,
with rays of sharp love warmed by the summer heat,
and now I lie awaiting him, counting seconds
on those soft orchid petals he left behind.
what passion overflows in this mystery lover,
and I dream of lying in his sinewy arms, tasting
the fresh grapes he plucked from the trailing vine
my soul sears above on silver wings yearning,
for a heavenly second to feel his hot breath
on my longing cheeks and touch his cool skin,
layered with a thin wet film of uncapped passion,
he enchanted me like an ancient knight and I
smiling on my silken sheets, the moon
hidden behind the evening clouds, too shy
to watch the mosaic of love beneath.
a new song sung at morning rise,
a new world afresh with bursting light,
a new love finds its baby wings,
and flutters slowly
under fresh spring skies,
is he the one, or is it still the other?
should past be forgotten or reclaimed,
layers of lonely nights now covered
with guilt, and hope, and desperate desires,
of human need for being coveted,
whispered words by an alien voice,
carried softly across from shore to shore,
forbidden love and stolen moments,
slowly carving into a neglected heart,
Is it a new dawn of a new beginning?
or just delusions filling lonely times,
hungry need for loving words,
clinging to any offered,
drifting in the dying wind,
tasting rain dreams all alone,
eyes that search for the love,
that perhaps exist no more,
now being taken over by another soul,
clinging softly to new found hopes,
oh! how bittersweet is forbidden love,
that has washed up onto my deserted shore.
water lilies
and lotus petals,
floating lightly
down the stream,
velvet touch
of feminine hands,
tender kisses
carried by gentle waves,
offerings for
a long lost love,
the glowing flames
of passion's candle
burn softly still,
in the sacred shrine
of a waiting heart.
your voice haunts me down dark valleys,
your silhouette follows me day and night,
your thoughts wrap my soul in desperate desires,
blindly I surrender my futile fight,
you cut my heart open with your bare hands,
destroyed my dreams, ripped open to pain,
buried my soul in shallow sinking sands,
I drift in open seas whispering your name,
all you left behind is ashes of a burnt out dream,
shattered hopes left scattered unpicked on the floor,
your imitated laughter still echoes in the breeze,
your empty promises still knock on my heart's door,
yet a candle burns for you on my mantel piece,
yet a flame of eternal hope flickers in my love shrine,
yet I pray for our tomorrow in my every dream,
that you might still be mine, my dark Valentine!
red roses withered alone in the corner,
as if lost and forgotten like the memories
that no one wanted to cherish. And, yeah
she did wait for him on the corner,
all those years, not wanting to remember,
but they pinned her down and pricked her
with the thorns that were left on that
dried out stem, still sharp as if they had
just grown today on a new shoot,
and pricked her still,
now she just watch the roses,
and not watch the memories.
