MALDIVES! I'm prayin for u...


Another sleepless night
Tossin and turning in my bed
all i could think
was my country, my birthplace.

I stood by the window at dawn
searchin the sky for answers
all i could see was the beautiful archipelago
crytstal clear, and the happy faces of "dhivehin"
in the calm, and peaceful islands.

I went to the beach at noon
trying to figure out the waves
that hit my little world
misplaced families.

i looked out the evenin,
wonderin how to reach the stars,
how calm and bright they look,
is it because now is the time for calm?

Another night, it's time for bed,
but i could not forget,
so i will keep on praying...

heaven, forgive us! we're all together in this prayer,
to save our nation from the disaster,
to keep our loved ones safe,
like the bright stars in your sky,
keep our birth land happy,
bestow us a bright future,
Allah! the powerful,
bless us calm and peace

When I began to know you.

When i started to fall for you.
Is this why you say...
"Life is unfair"

I think I understand
I know it's too late
I don’t want to stop you
Nor want to interfere in your life
But for me...
I think it's too much.

And then you say I’m your friend.
How could you leave me...
Knowing I’ll terribly miss you.
Is this why you say...
"For better, you have to face the worst"

The closer we got, the more I found
Who will be there...
When I need to talk things through
Who will be there...
When I’m terribly lonely at night.

How could you leave me...
When i need you so much.
How could you leave me...
After you started guiding me through life.
Is this why you say
"Learn to live on your own"

When I want to tell my secrets
I'll think of you.
When I’m desperate
I will write to you.
And when I'm in love
I will wait for you.

How could you leave me...
When you know I care about you a lot
How could you leave me...
When you know I’m there for u
Is this why you say
"Act from your mind, not heart"

But honey, tell me more
Why are your rules so unforgiving?
Maybe you want to show that you don’t believe in love
But deep down I know,
You're soft and you're feelings for me are much deep
So you hide.
But for once why not go by my way
And "follow your heart..."
