MY WIFE

To someone who is loving,
To someone who is kind,
To someone who upon this world
Man will seldom find,
To someone who is patient,
To someone who does care,
I dedicate this writ below;
I think it's only fair.
Loving kindness can never express
The value of this one,
Who can take a stormy life
And bring through the clouds, the sun,
Who can take the wars of life
And turn them into peace;
I would that this brief span of life
Could never, ever cease.
How lonely are they that walk alone
The pathway up ahead;
Their hearts must ache in lonesomeness
And wish that they were dead.
The greatest, most blessed thing I know,
God gave me in this life;
Above the measures of His Gift,
He gave to me my wife.
