If your hair is sort of graying
And life's funds are running low
And you seem to get more grouchy
As down life's path you go,
Here's a word or two to lift you,
And to them I hope you heed.
Look to Jesus, not your troubles;
He's all you'll ever need.
If you've put your trust in money
And think it will take you through,
Try putting trust in Jesus,
And just see what He can do.
Spend your wealth and time for others,
And your life will fuller grow.
Look to Jesus, not your money;
He's all you need, I know.

If your life seems heavy ladened
And It's more than you can bear,
Cast your eyes upon a Saviour
Who wants your load to share.
If all the world would look to Jesus,
Its wars would have to cease,
For you can't be fighting battles
And looking at the Prince of Peace.

Life would be but a long vacation
If men would live in love,
Men wouldn't feel so proud and haughty
If their treasures were above.
Everyone would have plenty,
And the sly would no longer horde,
For you can't be counting money
If your eyes are on the Lord.

If men would look to Jesus,
All lies would soon then go
To the inventor of the story,
The father of lies below,
Men no longer then would stumble
As in darkness they once trod,
For you cannot walk in darkness
If your eyes are looking at God.

Look to Jesus and be happy;
Look to Jesus and be free;
Look to him for lasting peace
And life eternally.
Keep your eyes on Jesus
In everything you do,
For while you're looking up at Him,
He's looking back at you.
