NO BOTHER NOW
It used to bother some
When I saw that sinner one
Enjoying this world
And all; somehow
Tho' I had made my choosing,
I thought that I was losing
And wasn't really sure,
But Now ---
It matters none to me
How the sinner shouts with glee,
For I've now made
My decision with my Lord;
I've been set entirely free
And will forever be
Fighting my great Saviour's
Battles with His sword.
If I lived my entire life
Without any sin or strife
And worked every day
To do God's will,
I could never repay what He
Did one day as He spoke
In a voice
So small and still.
He washed away my sin,
Put the peace of God within,
A feeling that the world
Could never give.
He put joy into my heart,
Gave to me a brand new start
And showed me how
That I might really live.
I want you now to know
That wherever I may go,
I always find Him
There by my side.
If I but believe,
Then He'll never leave
And help me stand
When others mock and chide.
As these words come to you,
Believe them, friend, for they
Are true, and Jesus
Is the very same today
As two thousand years ago,
When the power of God did flow
And God gave His only Son
To show the way.
But it was gain not loss,
When Christ died upon the cross,
For by this humble act
We now have peace
Tho' He held the winning card,
The death He died was hard;
To preach the word of God
He did not cease.
If the world would preach today
In that Holy Ghost filled way,
Then I'm sure that we
Would truly feel God's power.
We wouldn't drift along
Doing that which is wrong;
Instead we'd be praying
This last hour.
