Santiago
finds Margarita in the house but no Lisa and she doesn't tell him where Lisa
is. She "forces" him to listen to her: the same old story that she
was happy with Augusto until she met him, etc., is prepared to prove the
baby is his. He agrees to find a doctor and have the test done the next day.
Then Silvia arrives and Margarita tells her where Lisa is; Santiago and
Silvia go to the clinic. Francisco gets into Beba's room and talks to her.
Augusto and Barbara, not introduced, help a woman who arrives with a sick
child. Later, in the cafeteria, she learns he is the Augusto she was looking
for, calls herself Gabriela, and decides not to tell him about Margarita.
Jaime is sure his studies are in Serpa's office, but it is locked. Lisa
tells him about the plant in the jungle. Alvaro meets Sonia, offers her his
support, kisses her. Santiago runs into Barbara in the clinic. She tells him
her father hates him, will do all he can to blame him. She tells him she is
confuses, that until today in the clinic she didn't understand, doesn't want
to make the same mistake as her mother. Barbara asks him if his novia worked
there; he says yes, her name is Lisa, it didn't work out because of an
error. She tells him she doesn't hate him, wants to help him. He tells her
that Ernesto is her father, she can't go against him. She assures him she is
doing it not out of love, but because she knows he is a good, honest man.
