tells Santiago that he will be responsible for making Barbara happy.
Augusto
tells Barbara the bad news. They make love.
Jaime
remembers drinking and driving, his passenger hitting him over the head with
a gun, tossing him down an embankment.
Augusto
talks with Roberto, says that Beba seems to be disturbed by something.
Roberto assures him he would do nothing to hurt her. Augusto tells him he
knows that, asks him to call him if he learns anything.
Margarita
goes to work, talks with Vicente who tells him that from now on la factura
must be 30 days not 60 days. Margarita tells him that may be a problem.
Vicente tells him one of the company's lawyer, Gallindez, came by and
mentioned that they all appreciate her work.
Mimi
tells Beba her mother has threatened to send her to a boarding school.
Octavio
blames Silvia for all his problems.
When
Lisa goes into the lab, she notices that Jaime seems distressed. He says he
shouldn't have come her, his life was settled, then says she must think he
is crazy. She assures him that she doesn't. They talk a bit more and he
learns that her mother died soon after her father.
Gallindez
goes to the house, asks a neighbor if la familia Alvarez lives there; she
says not, it is la familia Estrada. Then he sees Carlos with the twins, says
he is looking for a seller of construction materials. Carlos says that he
doesn't know any Alvarez, unless it is the maiden name of Margarita, the
wife of his cuņado. Carlos tells him he doesn't know where the business is
located, but its name is Materiales Orinoco.
Margarita
talks with Elsa, asks about Gallindez. Elsa tells her what she knows and
also tells her the gossip, that Barbara attempted suicide.
Santiago
goes to a lawyer to see if there is any legal way to prevent this woman from
having an abortion. The lawyer explains to Santiago that in many places
abortion is legal because the fetus is not considered a person. Further,
women have full control of their bodies. Santiago argues the morality. She
tells him the situation is even more default because he isn't sure that he
is the father. She tells him that in this country abortion is illegal. She
will have to study the legal options.
Serpa
formally announces the appointment of Delia as the new head of nurses.
Elvira arrives late to the announcement and is rather gross. After they
leave, Serpa tells her she shouldn't be upset: the difference in pay is
minimal. He also promises to help her if Delia tries to fire her.
