Lisa tells Santiago to go to the hospital at once, Barbara was his novia and he doesn't know how bad she may be. In the hospital, Sofia tells Ernesto it is Santiago's fault. He reminds her that it was her pills. Santiago's mother arrives at the hospital, says that Santiago will come. Juan buries the worker; Santiago tells him we all die. Juan tells Anibal that most of the workers have left because of the plague. Beba's padrino Vicente visits her. She tells him that Augusto said awful things to her and wouldn't let her talk. Lisa returns home.Ernesto and Sofia blame Santiago for what has happened. Beba tells Vicente el chavo isn't bad unlike somebody else who says the right things but isn't a good person. Vicente asks about the other person. Beba says nobody hurt her, but it is unjust to accuse him. Lisa explains that her man had a good reason for not bringing her home. She tells them that they went to La Colonia Tovar and gives them the little presents she bought them. Lisa asks Silvia why she didn't tell her before how wonderful it was to love. But she also tells Silvia about the ex-novia and her attempt to commit suicide. The doctor tells them that Barbara has reacted, wants to see Santiago. She begs him not to leave her. She admits that what she did was stupid but she did it for him. She begs him not to leave her. Alvaro tells Ernesto that he can't confront Santiago so directly, must remember that Santiago knows too much about the company. Ernesto agrees not to do anything against Santiago, for the moment, but asks Alvaro to investigate Margarita from top to bottom for him. Augusto tells Margarita that she has to give blood again. Santiago's mother tries to calm down, with no luck, Sofia. Dr. Gustavo Martinez doesn't realize that Rubi loves him. The director tells Jaime his budget request is too high, tells him to make do with what is there. Jaime says that's impossible, some equipment is broken, some is missing, etc. Jaime warns him about the possibility of an epidemic. Carlos objects to Silvia's clothes for her first day of work. Silvia gives Carlos instructions for the care of the twins. Alvaro Galindez talks to Elsa about Barbara, says she should explain, if asked, that there was just an accidnet. He also tells her that he wants better control of those who come to the business, asks if there is a list, then asks for information about the salespeople (i.e., Margarita). Jaime sees Margarita in the clinic and looks strangely at her.
