Anyway, i love to write poems about my inner feelings on my enviroment, my culture and myself.It become my hobby where i get a lot of encouragement from my family.My dad told me that i start to create my own poems since I was 5 years old (which i definately can't recall).He told me that i recite a poem about my dad's car which i call it 'kereta biruku'/'my blue car'.My dad write poems of his own and taking time reading his poems is most probably why i start to write my own.When i was 10 ,i entered a poetry readings competition in World Trade Centre and i got 4th place.It does't gave me up because i know poetry grows in me.I continue writing and one of my poetry was publish in my school magazine entitle 'mungkin'/'maybe'.I just write when i feel it to.
In 1997 i entered Multimedia Univerisity and in 1999 i was in Digital Media Department.Then,i start to explore digital poetry on april 2000 and that when 'sang siput '/'the seashell' was born.I wrote 'sang siput' on December 1999 talking about how seashell is being neglected and how lonely they are.During that time i was taking painting class as my minor subject where i found that the class thought me a lot of things especially on thinking process.From my painting 'space to nowhere' series i develope it in the computer where i thought it would be exciting to do a motion installation with the paintings.The output is in the cd-rom .After finishing doing the installation, i felt that this is the thing that i want to explore since it gaves me the oppurtanity to express myself through my own poetry, my paintings and also with all multimedia element which gave me more excitement to it.But digital poetry is still new in my country, Malaysia.I took it as an oppurtanity for me to do a research about poetry in multimedia design and try to expose this new form of poetry to malaysian audience .On January 2000, i came out with this idea doing a hybrid cd.The content will be my poetry which it will be in a few form of digital poetry which is hypertext poetry, motion installation and dynamic poetry.The cd will be link to a web vortal where it specialised on the poetry enviroment and developement in Malaysia.It's still in the making now and it will be ready on early April 2001.I hope the web vortal which i name it as www.ekspresi.com.my will be a meeting place for poetry lovers that are seeking for new enviroment and communication.And i hope that the hybrid cd will be a model for other people to express themselves in this new media.
